Do you think WISDOM only comes with age? We often hear the phrase “older but wiser” but don’t you think that wisdom comes at any age? I’ve recruited my 2 young great nieces to talk about their idea of wisdom…where it comes from, how does one get it, and who is wise in their life. Don’t underestimate the value of wisdom at any age. Know the wisdom you gain from your own children or young people, sometimes more than you gain from people who are older. ENJOY!
Do You Have Purpose?
Do you have purpose and want to keep it? Do you seek purpose and want to find it? We have all asked questions like: Why am I here? Who am I? Where am I going? What am I suppose to be doing? Good questions that some of us have already answered and others are still wondering. Remember the book “A purpose driven life” by Rick Warren? It was published shortly after 911 and sold a zillion and half copies in one decade. Why? Because people want to know their purpose. It helps in making decisions and reduce the worry and anxiety about your future. Be careful of identifying money or fame as your purpose. Your purpose and passion can certainly build money and fame. Consider taking my Mastermind program that begins next week. There will be a global representation of people talking and sharing about this very topic. Reach out to me and I can pass along more information.
AWE: Where to find it
AWE is everywhere and it takes paying attention and seeking it out to reap the benefits. Found mostly in nature but it can also be experienced and felt in seeing AWEsome architecture, in an AWEsome painting or photo or an AWEsome spiritual awakening. Go find some AWE as it will enhance your overall outlook and view of the world around you. Oh, by the way, where is this AWE?
The perks of aging
Do you like aging? Do you like getting OLDER? There are perks in aging, you know!? I actually don’t mind getting older and appreciate and enjoy the next year more than the year before. I don’t miss the things that I used to worry about in my 20’s and 30’s. I do wish I could share with my younger self what my older self NOW knows! Think about what people talk about at their high school reunions, particularly as you age? I share a story about this in the video. A few tips to enhance your appreciation of getting older…1. MOVE: both physically and mentally. Giddy up and go. 2. Eat well: (all in moderation) 3. Sleep: you will sleep better if you eat well and move. 4. Hang around with young people or at least young minded people. Happy aging! What tips can you share to appreciate getting older?
ALONE Time
When was the last time you spent time ALONE? No outside voices, no distractions, and no one telling you what to do?! Being by yourself and spending time ALONE are two different things. Going to the grocery store or taking care of the kids by yourself does not reap the benefits of ALONE time. Your own ALONE time has direct impact on how you lead others, how you relate and connect with others, and you can more clearly hear the voices that belong to you. I encourage you to carve out ALONE time – quiet time in the morning or a walk or hike ALONE. It can also reduce the anxiety and worry that often times cloud our progress. What do you do when you spend time ALONE? What benefits do you receive in your ALONE time?
